What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking to appoint two enthusiastic and committed members of staff to join our dedicated, child centered team. A willingness to support the Christian ethos of the academy is essential for all posts.

Mereside is a fully inclusive school that seeks to help all our pupils achieve the highest standards in both academic and social development. These posts will involve supporting children with a range of needs which could include speech, language and communication difficulties; those with neuro diversity or those with attachment difficulties or challenging behaviour.

A willingness to work as a Lunchtime Supervisor for part of each day is also desirable in candidates. We find having staff who they see all day everyday helps pupils enjoy their lunchtime more.

What the school offers its staff

Training will also be provided as needed to widen skills over time and a willingness to participate in professional development is essential.

Further details about the role

Please note that the ability to communicate easily with stakeholders and provide advice in accurate spoken English is also essential for the post.

Commitment to safeguarding

Mereside CE Primary Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and requires all staff to share and demonstrate this commitment. The successful candidate will have to meet the requirements of the job specifications and will be subject to pre-employment checks including and enhanced DBS, a medical and satisfactory references.
