Steel City Schools Partnership has been established to ensure a local, primary led partnership of schools with an ambition to work closely with other Academies and schools. Monteney Primary was a founding member of SCSP in 2013.
Our “Believe, Endeavour, Succeed, Together” vision drives policy, practice and governance in order to achieve the Trust and school aims, which are to provide a high-quality learning environment that inspires and motivates children, staff and the wider community to engage in education and learning.
Monteney (Ofsted Good - March 2023) serves the North of the city, the Parson Cross and Shiregreen estates. Approximately 37% of the pupils are deemed to be disadvantaged, with 30% of pupils on the SEND register. The school has a track record of Innovation and Leadership development. Monteney works closely with a range of external partners including feeder secondary schools, Learners First and Learn Sheffield. Monteney is a target English Hub network school for Early Reading and Phonics.
The Trustees of Steel City Schools Partnership are looking to recruit a skilled and inspirational practitioner to complement our existing educational support team.
Expectations:
To work with an existing team of Teaching Assistants led by the Inclusion Lead / Leadership Team, to implement work programmes with individuals/groups, in or out of the classroom. This may include those requiring detailed and specialist knowledge in particular areas and will involve assisting the teaching staff in the whole planning cycle and the management/preparation of resources.
Lead and support on targeted interventions.
Manage behaviour promptly in line with the school behaviour policy.
Staff may also supervise whole classes occasionally during the short-term absence of teachers.
Relevant Qualifications:
Good literacy/numeracy skills
NVQ 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualifications or experience
