Level 3 Teaching Assistant job summary

We are looking to recruit to two Level 3 Teaching Assistant positions within our School. Our Level 3 Teaching Assistants will work alongside the Class Teacher and Level 2 Teaching Assistants to promote the involvement of the pupils in the social and academic processes of the School, to enable the pupils to become more independent learners and to help raise the standard of achievement for all our pupils.

We are looking to appoint a candidate with a General Level of education to GCSE Grade 4 - 9 (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics and with experience of supporting children with additional needs in a school environment. We are looking for candidates who have knowledge of special needs, and dealing with challenging behaviours. We would like candidates to have experience of leading a group or class within a School setting.

These posts are permanent, part time positions working 39 weeks per year inclusive of training days.

We have two roles available; one will be based at our Hayway, Rushden site and will be for 33.75 hours per week. The second role will be based at our Wellingborough site and will be working 3 days per week (Wednesday-Friday). Successful candidates must be able to commit to the following working pattern (the hours below are inclusive of a 1/2 hour unpaid lunch break):

*Monday, Wednesday and Friday - 8.40 am - 3.30 pm

*Tuesday - 8.40 am - 5.00 pm (staff training/update from 3.30 pm - 5.00 pm)

*Thursday - 8.40 am - 4.00 pm (staff class time from 3.30 pm - 4.00 pm)

All applicants must be able to work from 8:40am until the appropriate finish time.

All successful candidates will be appointed to work on one of our sites, however there may be the requirement to amend your allocated site depending on the needs of the School. Staff may be required to travel between sites on occasion.
