Level 4 Apprentice Website Developer job summary

We're looking for someone with a genuine passion for website and software development, a willingness to learn and a positive attitude. You don't need to know everything already - we're looking for potential, enthusiasm and a desire to grow.

Alongside your day-to-day role, you'll complete your apprenticeship with Baltic Apprenticeships. Your training will be delivered in two-day learning blocks every 6-8 weeks, giving you the opportunity to build your knowledge, develop industry-recognised skills and receive dedicated support throughout your apprenticeship.

In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 4 Software Developer qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

Duties Include:

  • Develop new software solutions for new and existing applications
  • Update Trust Websites as required.
  • Meet with staff to discuss requirements of new & existing apps or websites.
  • Backup all applications & user data on different servers.
  • Break down individual components during the development stage to test how the software code performs and verify its functionality.
  • Plan & estimate requirements for new components/applications.
  • Follow all coding practices & guidelines set by team.

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge

  • Passion for Software.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, PHP would be beneficial.
  • Open to all technology and languages.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • A Grade C/4 in Maths and English is essential for this role.

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

£15,392 per annum.

Monday to Friday 8:00 am till 4:00 pm.

3:30pm finish on Fridays.

26 Days holiday plus bank holidays.

Holiday entitlement increases with service.

Full-time job role upon completion of the apprenticeship.
