What skills and experience we're looking for
Stourport High School is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated School Librarian Manager to manage and develop our library resources and promote a culture of reading and research across the school. It is an exciting time to join with a key focus on reading as a whole school & the development of a new library! We are committed to providing a stimulating and enriched learning environment for all our students.
The successful candidate will share our values, be passionate and be able to drive students forward on their educational journey. Understanding their individual needs and collaborating with the Senior Leadership Team to put appropriate plans in place with the individual at the heart of everything we do. The postholder will have the ability to demonstrate their commitment to the role and how they can support the trust in fostering collaboration ensuring the continual improvement of the quality of students' learning is at the top of the business agenda.
As our School Librarian, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and strategic development of the school library, ensuring it is a vibrant and accessible learning environment for all students and staff. You will play a key role in promoting literacy, supporting the curriculum, and developing students' research and information literacy skills.
