What skills and experience we're looking for
Leeds Mathematics School (LMaS) is seeking to appoint an Administration Officer. We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to provide vital administrative support across Finance, HR, and General Administration. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, assisting with financial transactions, personnel processes, and administrative operations.
The ideal candidate will have:
- GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English and Mathematics (or equivalent).
- Experience working in a school and/or office environment.
- Experience supporting financial and/or HR processes.
- The ability to work flexibly and efficiently, maintaining confidentiality under pressure.
- A strong commitment to accuracy while meeting deadlines.

About LMaS:
Leeds Mathematics School (www.lmas.ac.uk) is a new, specialist sixth form college for high-attaining mathematicians in the Leeds city and West Yorkshire region. All LMaStudents studyMathematics and Further Mathematics A-Levels. In Year 12 they study two of Chemistry, Computer Science, Physics and Mandarin Chinese, and in Year 13 most LMaStudents continue one of these to A level; some continue to study four subjects.

We moved into our stunning new school in November 2023. This is located in the heart of Leeds, on The Headrow. We welcomed ourfirst cohort of69 students in September 2023 and 98 students in September 2024. 28% of our current students are female or female-identifying, and 37% are from the most disadvantaged postcodes in the region (IMD deciles 1 and 2). We are determined to increase both these proportions.
