What skills and experience we're looking for
At Leeds Mathematics School (LMaS), we are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, enthusiastic, dynamic and inspirational Administration Officer. The role of Administration Officer is crucial to ensuring the integrity of LMaS’ financial management and HR systems, as well as providing high quality administrative support relating to the day-to-day operations of the school.
The ideal candidate will have:
- GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English and Mathematics (or equivalent).
- Experience working in a school and/or office environment.
- Experience supporting financial and/or HR processes.
- The ability to work flexibly and efficiently, maintaining confidentiality under pressure.
- A strong commitment to accuracy while meeting deadlines.

About LMaS:
Leeds Mathematics School (www.lmas.ac.uk) is a new, specialist sixth form college for high-attaining mathematicians in the Leeds city and West Yorkshire region. All LMaStudents studyMathematics and Further Mathematics A-Levels. In Year 12 they study two of Chemistry, Computer Science, Physics and Mandarin Chinese, and in Year 13 most LMaStudents continue one of these to A level; some continue to study four subjects.

We moved into our stunning new school in November 2023. This is located in the heart of Leeds, on The Headrow. Our ongoing professional development is central to the vision, purpose and day-to-day practice of LMaS.
We welcomed ourfirst cohort of69 students in September 2023 and 98 students in September 2024. 28% of our current students are female or female-identifying, and 37% are from the most disadvantaged postcodes in the region (IMD deciles 1 and 2). We are determined to increase both these proportions.

• 31% of A level grades were A* and 83% were A*, A or B;
• 93% of university places are at Russell Group or Guardian Top 30 institutions;
•100% of degree apprenticeship applications to prestigious employers were successful.
