Lunchtime Assistant job summary

Salary: £4773– £4853 (actual) per annum

Contract: Part time, permanent , 8.75 hours per week.

Hours: Monday to Friday 11.45am to 1.30pm

Closing date: 10th July 2025

Interview date: Week Commencing 14 July 2025

Start Date: 1st September 2025

Evendons Primary School would like to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Lunchtime colleague to join our friendly team and help ensure that children’s lunchtimes are enjoyable and safe. The successful candidates will work with colleagues to support children with their meals, set up lunchtime play, encourage and develop safe, purposeful and creative play which supports the aims and values of the school and enriches the pupils’ learning.

The successful candidate will be:

  • a calm, patient and friendly person
  • encouraging and resourceful
  • able to organise and mange games and activities for children
  • able to communicate well with children

This is a fixed term position to August 2026 with potential to become permanent.
