Lunchtime Playleader job summary
We are seeking a reliable and caring Lunchtime Playleader to join the St Jude's team as part of St Chad's Academies Trust. You will play an important role in ensuring a safe, happy and well-organised lunchtime experience for our pupils. St Jude's is a high performing academy with high aspirations for all. We are committed to giving children a safe, secure and nurturing environment to thrive in where they have the opportunity to reach their full potential and need a Lunchtime Playleader to join the team and help deliver on this vision.
The role involves supervising pupils in the dining hall and playground, promoting positive behaviour, supporting social interaction and ensuring the welfare and safety of children at all times. You will work closely with teaching and pastoral colleagues and follow Trust and academy policies and procedures.
The successful candidate will be calm, approachable and confident working with children, with a commitment to safeguarding and promoting their wellbeing. Previous experience of working with children is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided. We offer a supportive working environment, opportunities for professional development, and the chance to be part of a collaborative Trust committed to improving outcomes for children and young people.
This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references, in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all colleagues to share this commitment.
The Trust is committed to being a Flexible Employer and welcomes open discussion around flexible working options.
