As an infant school working with children from Reception through to Year 2, we know that feeling safe, happy and connected at lunchtime is just as important as any lesson. Our children thrive when they are surrounded by warm, attentive adults who take time to know them — and that’s exactly the kind of person we’re hoping to find.

In this role you will:

Support children with mealtimes, helping to build independence, confidence and positive social skills

Encourage and model our school values — nurturing a lunchtime environment where every child feels included and valued

Guide children in following routines and expectations with patience, positivity and consistency

Work as part of a close-knit team to ensure lunchtime runs smoothly and safely for all pupils

Respond promptly and calmly to any concerns or incidents, reporting to the appropriate member of staff

Understand and actively support the school’s safeguarding responsibilities

Work well as part of a team, contributing to the happy, caring community we have built
