LUNCHTIME SUPERVISOR X2 VACANCIES
Grade: 1
Salary: £24,413 Full time equivalent, £2,771 Actual salary, £12.65/hr
Hours of work: 5 hrs/week, Monday to Friday, 1 hour over lunchtime
Contract: Permanent, Term time only (190 days per year)
Start date: ASAP following pre-employment checks
Cambridge Park Academy is pleased to offer an exciting opportunity to join our team of Lunchtime Supervisors, supporting children of all ages with a wide range of learning needs. Applicants with relevant experience or knowledge of learning disabilities are particularly encouraged to apply.
We welcome individuals who are eager to learn, adaptable to a dynamic school environment, and genuinely committed to supporting the needs of children. This role requires a willingness to work with pupils of all ages and abilities throughout the lunchtime period.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Supervision of children throughout the midday lunch break.
• Helping with supervision in the dining hall, during the service of meals, ensuring good eating habits and table manners.
• Plan and deliver games with the children on the playground, encourage group play.
• To resolve any behavioural issues efficiently following the guidance of the senior leaders.
• Care for sick children and those with minor injuries/ailments, providing basic first aid treatment when required
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
• Experience working with children with varying ages and backgrounds
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to organise activities that engage children
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team
• A first aid qualification or be willing to undertake training
• A knowledge and commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people

Cambridge Park Academy is a 3-19 special school in Grimsby for pupils with ASD (Autistic Spectrum Disorder) and complex learning needs. The school has places for 220 students from the North East Lincolnshire and North Lincolnshire area and is Ofsted rated as ‘requires improvement’. The school places importance on preparing its students both academically and socially for life after school and provides a wide range of opportunities for young people to take part in sporting and cultural activities alongside their academic learning. The school became an academy in March 2013 and joined Humber Education Trust in April 2020.
