We are looking for a Lunchtime Supervisor to work 7.5 hours per week, term time only, Monday to Friday. Working as part of a team, you will help make the lunchtime experience positive, happy and healthy for our children.

We are seeking someone who understands the importance of a fulfilling and nutritious lunch, ensuring that children are fuelled and ready for an afternoon of learning. You will also help provide a safe and enjoyable environment where children can play with their friends, build positive relationships, stay active, or simply have space to relax and recharge before returning to the classroom.

Here at St Marys we offer a well-balanced, engaging and relevant curriculum, allowing our children to learn about their local environment and the ever-changing world they live in. We are fortunate to have extensive outdoor space and offer a wide range of curriculum enrichment through trips, visitors and extra-curricular activities. We want to foster an enthusiasm for learning that remains throughout their life while equipping our pupils with the physical, emotional, social and intellectual skills they need to be happy and successful.

We are looking to appoint someone who:

  • who will strive to make the lunchtime experience for our children as positive as possible by building good relationships and responding to playground issues fairly.
  • who understands how to tackle challenging behaviour in children with respect and understanding, following the school’s Behaviour Policy.
  • has high expectations of healthy eating and table manners and supports the children to develop good eating habits.
  • understands our children and our community and who is able to build supportive and respectful relationships with children whilst maintaining confidentiality and following the school’s Code of Conduct.
  • who is prepared to undertake appropriate CPD to develop their skills including First Aid training and annual Safeguarding / Child Protection training.
  • Is an energetic individual who smiles often, engages with the children and models our values and ethos at all times.
  • Understands the importance of Child Protection and is committed to the safeguarding of children’s welfare - both at home and in school.

In return, we will offer:

  • A supportive environment where contributions and ideas are encouraged, valued and supported.
  • Happy and motivated children who are eager to learn.
  • A collaborative and supportive school community that is underpinned by the Christian ethos, driven by a shared passion of children’s welfare and education.
  • A rewarding working environment, within a supportive and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Access to a vast array of employee benefits and recognition systems, via our brand-new partnership with Vivup.
  • Employment within one of the largest Multi-Academy Trusts in the Peterborough Diocese, with wider development, training and career opportunities.
