Lunchtime Supervisor job summary
Hanley St Luke’s is a Church of England Christian school part of Three Spires Trust serving a number of schools across the Midlands. Both the trust and our academy are under the umbrella of the Church of England Diocese of Lichfield. Our Christian mission and values are at the heart of our service to this wonderful community.
Our school is a large inner city primary academy providing education for all children aged 3 to 11 years. Through high-quality preschool provision, inclusive of parent and toddler sessions, we seek to ensure your child’s educational journey allows them to flourish and thrive. This post will be part-time working 6.25 hours per week.
We are looking to appoint a caring and reliable Lunchtime Supervisor to join our team.
The successful candidate will help ensure that lunchtime is a safe, happy and enjoyable experience for all pupils, both in the dining hall and on the playground.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising children during lunch in the dining hall and playground
- Encouraging good manners and positive behaviour
- Supporting younger children with eating and play where required
- Ensuring pupils’ safety and wellbeing at all times
- Administering basic first aid and reporting any concerns to senior staff
We are looking for someone who:
- Enjoys working with children
- Is calm, patient and approachable
- Can work well as part of a team
- Is reliable and punctual
- Has good communication skills
