Lunchtime Supervisor job summary

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed lunch time supervisor at

St John’s & St Peter’s CE Primary School.

You will work as part of a team assisting the Pastoral Care Manager and Headteacher.

The role is about supporting the pupil in continuing to develop their personal and social skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and engage with pupils during their lunch break, both in the dining hall and on the playground
  • Provide 1:1 assistance and support to pupils, including those with special educational needs and high-complex needs
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all pupils in your care
  • Promote positive behaviour and encourage pupils to play cooperatively
  • Assist with the set-up and clearing of the dining hall

Supervisors are expected to be a good role model to our pupils as they work with them in a reliable, committed and dedicated way, showing a genuine interest in their continuing development and well-being.

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.
