• First Aid Certificate

Experience

• Experience of working with children and young people (either paid or unpaid)

Skills and knowledge

• Effective communication skills.

• Ability to supervise pupils.

• Good basic literacy skills.

• Ability to be flexible and work in different areas of the school

• The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and students and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential to the role

• A knowledge and understanding of the welfare and social needs of pupils during the mid-day break

• Awareness of behaviour support
