Teacher- Maternity Cover 

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious, enthusiastic and motivated teacher.

West Monkton C of E Primary School is a thriving two-form entry school, with a large nursery, and is part of The Oak Partnership Trust.

Overview of the role

We are seeking an excellent, enthusiastic teacher to join our teaching staff for a maternity cover placement to start on Monday 2nd November 2026. The teaching role will be within Key Stage 2- Year 4.

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Passion and commitment for inspiring through teaching and learning
  • Solid knowledge of the Key Satge 2 curriculum
  • The ability to build on and develop existing best practice knowledge
  • Excellent communication and ability to build relationships
  • Good classroom management skills

Temporary position:  FTE 1.0 Maternity Cover Contract for up to 1 year  Main Pay Scale / Upper Pay Scale - dependent on experience
