MATERNITY COVER YEAR 5 until end of academic year job summary

We are looking for a teacher to cover a 6 month maternity leave in year 5. The position would require a creative and passionate candidate willing to get the best out of their class.
The successful candidate will be required to:
- teach the National Curriculum in line with the organisation of the Federation's curriculum
- lead and manage the class in line with behavioural expectations
- be responsible for assessment and reporting arrangements
- support pupils of a wide range of abilities including SEN & EAL
- manage teaching assistants effectively
- work collaboratively with other members of the year team and SLT
- have a good standard of written and spoken English
- have appropriate safeguarding clearances

The Queenswell Federation consists of two schools: Queenswell Junior School & Queenswell Infant & Nursery School. They are situated in the heart of Whetstone, Barnet, and is the only non-denominational, co-educational community school in the immediate area.

In addition, we have 12 places in our Pre-School for 2-year-old and a Nursery for 52 part-time children.
