Mealtime Assistant job summary

Mealtime Assistant

Part Time, 4hrs per week (1hr per day), 38 weeks per year (term time only) paid at NJC Band A £12.85ph

You will need to be an enthusiastic, self-motivated and hard-working individual who can support our pupils during lunchtime. You will be required to assist with lunches in the hall and supervise children in the playground.

Main duties and responsibilities:
- Assisting and serving of meals as required to include main meal, desert and drinks to staff
- laying up of table and then clearing, cleaning and tidying following lunchtime period
- Furniture moving in dining area as required
- Securing the safety and welfare of pupils during the lunchtime period
- Supervision of pupils whilst eating lunch
- Supervision of children's outdoor play
- Basic first aid
- Promote positive behaviour and safe play

You should have English and Maths to GCSE A-C or equivalent.
