Midday Supervisor job summary
At Old Fletton Primary School, we believe that every adult in our school plays an important part in helping children feel safe, happy and ready to learn. We are looking for a positive, caring and enthusiastic Midday Supervisor to join our team and help make lunchtimes enjoyable, safe and well organised for all our children.

As a Midday Supervisor, you will play an important role in the life of our school. You will build positive relationships with children, support their behaviour and well-being, and help create a calm and enjoyable lunchtime environment.
You will work as part of our dedicated lunchtime team, helping the dinner hall run smoothly and supporting children to develop positive behaviours, good manners and respect for others. You will be an important adult presence for our children, helping them to enjoy their lunchtime while ensuring they are safe and well cared for.
We want you to bring your personality, strengths and ideas to the role. You don't need to have worked in a school before - we are looking for someone who cares about children, enjoys being part of a team and is committed to making a positive difference.

- genuinely enjoys working with children and is committed to creating a positive lunchtime experience;
- is warm, caring and able to build positive relationships with children;
- can help create a calm, safe and welcoming lunch hall environment;
- is confident in encouraging children to demonstrate good manners, respect and positive behaviour;
- can remain calm, patient and consistent when dealing with challenging behaviour or minor incidents;
- understands the importance of safeguarding and keeping children safe at all times;
- is able to follow school procedures and expectations consistently;
- communicates well with children and adults and enjoys working as part of a team;
- is reliable, responsible and able to use their initiative;
- is willing to support the smooth running of lunchtime, including helping children during their meal and ensuring expectations are maintained, and
- shares our belief that every child deserves to feel safe, valued, respected and included.

Our Midday Supervisors play a vital role in making this happen. Working from 11.30am to 1.45pm, Monday to Friday, you will be an important part of our school team, helping to ensure lunchtimes is safe, positive and enjoyable for every child.
