Midday Supervisor and Catering Assistant (Dual role) job summary
The Governors are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic individual to join the lunchtime team in our friendly school. This is a dual-role position, and the successful candidate will have two distinct part-time roles within our school, as follows:
(1) Mid-day Supervisor - Monday to Thursday, 11.50am to 1.15pm - the role involves supervising children in the dining room, ensuring a safe environment and also to supervise the children when playing inside or outside promoting positive play.
(2) Catering Assistant - Friday, 11.30am to 1.30pm - to work within our long established Café Vale catering team consisting of a part time Catering Manager and two part time catering assistants. Around 120 meals are served each day by the catering service and you will assist in the kitchen and dining room as required in the production of meals, food service, dish and utensil washing, general cleaning, setting up the dining hall and any other tasks associated with catering.
You will need to be able to work to a high standard with a positive attitude, be approachable, enthusiastic, flexible and committed to providing a quality service.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are essential elements of both roles.
We can offer you an incredibly supportive staff and school community who want the best for the children of Arno Vale, as well as excellent CPD opportunities. We actively encourage you to contact the school prior to applying to arrange a visit or have a discussion with a member of the SLT.
