Midday Supervisor job summary

We are looking to appoint two Lunchtime Supervisors, to join our fantastic team.

If you enjoy working with children and want to work as part of a friendly, enthusiastic team to ensure that dinner times are meaningful and enjoyable breaks, then this is the job for you.

Working as part of a team, the successful candidate will be required to undertake the supervision of the children, ensuring children are where they need to be at appropriate times to ensure the smooth running of lunchtime arrangements.

You will be responsible for the safety and welfare of the pupils during lunchtime, both inside and outside in the playground. In bad weather the children are supervised in classrooms and have a variety of indoor games. You will be encouraged to actively engage pupils in playground games to ensure they have a positive lunchtime experience.

We are looking for someone who can deal with behavior issues, be able to supervise a group of children and also to encourage shared play and team involvement.

The successful candidate will enjoy working with children and be able to develop respectful relationships to promote happy and safe lunchtimes.

We can offer you a welcoming and caring school with well-behaved and motivated pupils and the support of a fantastic team of committed, dedicated staff who are passionate about children and their experience at school.

The successful candidates will be required to undertake First Aid training if they don’t already hold a valid certificate.
