Midday Supervisor job summary
Could you help us make lunchtimes a safe, positive and enjoyable part of every child's day?
We are looking for a friendly and reliable Midday Supervisor to join our team at Lift Charles Warren. You'll play an important role in supporting our pupils during lunchtime, helping to create a safe, inclusive and positive environment where every child feels supported.
About the role
As a Midday Supervisor, you'll supervise pupils across our dining and outdoor areas, encourage positive behaviour and help ensure lunchtimes run safely and smoothly. This includes helping set up and clear dining tables to prepare the space for lunch and leave it clean afterwards.
You'll build positive relationships with our pupils, support their wellbeing, and work closely with colleagues to address any concerns that arise during lunchtime.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise pupils during lunchtime in dining, playground and other designated areas
- Set up tables prior to lunch service and clear them away at the end of the session
- Encourage positive behavior, respectful interactions and an inclusive environment
- Support pupils' welfare and respond appropriately to any concerns or incidents
- Help maintain a safe, clean and well-organised lunchtime environment
- Support lunchtime activities where required and work closely with the wider school team
We are looking for someone who
You'll be positive, patient and approachable, with the ability to build good relationships with children and work effectively as part of a team.
You'll be able to remain calm, use your initiative and communicate clearly with pupils and colleagues. Experience supervising children or young people is essential, and previous experience in a school or lunchtime supervisory role would be an advantage.

Your new school
Lift Charles Warren is a welcoming and inclusive primary school for children aged 4-11, based in Simpson, Milton Keynes.
Alongside our mainstream provision, we have a specialist Communication and Language provision, Butterflies, supporting children from EYFS through to Key Stage 1 who are placed with us by the Local Authority.
Our school is set within extensive grounds, surrounded by trees and a canal, providing a wonderful environment for our children to learn and grow. Our pupils are enthusiastic and eager to succeed, and our dedicated team is committed to ensuring every child feels supported and has the opportunity to thrive.
