Midday Supervisor job summary

Reporting to the Assistant Head Teacher for Outcomes, we are looking to appoint a friendly, enthusiastic and reliable Midday Supervisor to support the general wellbeing of our secondary school age students aged 11-16 during both of our split lunchtimes.

The ideal applicant will have excellent communication skills, be proactive, and have the ability to engage with staff and students from all year groups.

Whilst full training will be given, a qualification in first aid and experience of a similar role would be desirable.

Key Responsibilities

To supervise students during the lunch-time period (Years 7&8: 12.20-1.00pm & Years 9-11: 1.20-2.00pm) in the Dining Hall, Main Hall and duty points around school premises

To maintain good behaviour in line with the academy’s behaviour management policy

To deal with any incidents that take place during the lunchtime period, referring on to specialist staff as appropriate (e.g. pastoral team, first aiders)

To undertake general duties as required in between the lunchtime break periods or after 2.00pm, such as:- general tidying, litter picking, collecting footballs or games at the end of each lunchtime, taking recycling to the collection point.
