West SILC is seeking a caring, reliable Midday Supervisory Assistant to join our Farnley Partnership team. You will support children and young people with complex and multiple learning needs during their midday break, helping them enjoy lunch, take part in suitable activities and stay safe.

Farnley Partnership is home to our Engage Pathway and a specialist Explore class. Our staff work together to respond to each pupil’s communication, sensory, physical and care needs.
You will receive induction and relevant training, including communication, health and safety, moving and handling, and Team Teach.
What Will You Be Doing?
As a Midday Supervisory Assistant, you will:
Supervise pupils in the dining room, playground and around the school at lunchtime.
Support pupils to eat, including cutting up food and feeding where required.
Keep tables clean and water available, and encourage healthy eating and table manners.
Interact with pupils, encouraging engagement and fun through suitable games and activities.
Make safety checks, follow behaviour policies and report accidents or serious incidents.
Work with other supervisory assistants and follow the Site Leader’s guidance.
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
✔ Relates well to children and adults.
✔ Works constructively as part of a team.
✔ Maintains a safe, calm and happy approach.
✔ Has experience working with or caring for children and basic childcare and health and safety knowledge.
✔ Is willing to take part in training and development.
Knowledge of first aid is desirable.
