Midday Supervisory Assistant job summary

This role provides structured support to pupils during the lunchtime period, ensuring a safe, well‑organised and positive environment. Key responsibilities include preparing the dining area, offering individual support in line with training and school procedures, and meeting pupils’ personal care needs. The postholder will promote appropriate social and learning opportunities and support purposeful play activities. A consistent and proactive approach to health and safety is essential, along with the flexibility to undertake additional reasonable duties as directed by the Headteacher.
