Midday Supervisory Assistant job summary

We are looking to appoint a lunchtime assistant to join our lunchtime team on a permanent basis. The role involves setting up of the dining hall for lunches, assisting the catering team serving food to the children and clearing away at the end of the lunch period. In addition, you will be required to assist the children during their lunch and playtimes where possible, supporting and joining in with play to encourage inclusive, fun playtimes.

We are seeking to appoint a candidate who will:

  • Maintain a calm atmosphere and encourage positive behaviour
  • Be a team player with a positive attitude and a sense of humour
  • Be a reflective person, who shows initiative and leadership to support our children
  • Take care and pride in the school and its grounds
  • Have the commitment to be involved in the life of the school and its needs
  • Be flexible and have excellent attention to detail
  • Have the confidence to make responsible decisions
  • Have the ability to work closely with staff and children
  • Have the ability to fit in with a dedicated and hardworking staff team
  • Must be able to gain a full DBS clearance
  • Resilience 

Hours: 10 hours a week. 11:30m to 1:30pm -  Mon-Fri, Term time only

Start date: As soon as Possible
