Midday Supervisory Assistant job summary
The Thomas Alleyne Academy is looking to appoint a friendly, enthusiastic and reliable Midday Supervisor to support the general wellbeing of our secondary age children during lunchtimes. The hours are Monday to Friday 12.15-2.15pm, but applicants wishing to work less than five days a week will be considered. Extra hours are available at breaktime (10.00-11.20am) and this can be discussed at interview if this is of interest. This is a really fantastic opportunity for anyone who enjoys working with children and wants to return to the workplace for regular hours that fit around other commitments. Please state on your application if you wish to work fewer than 5 days a week and which days these are.
The role is offered starting on 13th April but flexibility around start dates can be discussed. A right to work check and enhanced DBS check will be conducted prior to starting..
The academy operates a split lunch with Year 7-8 students at lunch between 12.20-1.00pm, years 9-11 students at lunch between 1.20-2.00pm. The midday supervisor will be working with teaching and support staff on duties in a variety of locations; the dining hall, food POD, toilets, main hall or on the field.
The ideal applicant will have excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with staff and students from all year groups.
Full training will be given.
