Minibus Driver job summary

Working hours: 12 hours a week at the start and the end of the school day, with the potential for working additional hours. Term time only.
Actual starting salary calculated pro rata: £5342.84 (pay award pending)

We are looking for a responsible and competent Minibus Driver to drive pupils between the Baird Primary Academy and other local trust primary schools, whilst they are accompanied by a member of the academy staff.

To succeed in this role:

​​​​​​​It is essential that you hold a clean, current driving licence with permission to drive a D1 category vehicle
You have the ability to communicate effectively with academy staff and pupils
It is desirable that you have a ​​​​​​​basic knowledge of safeguarding including confidentiality, health and safety, however, training will be offered
Successfully complete a MiDAS training course (funded by the academy)​​​​​​​

The Baird Primary Academy is a school for 4 to 11-year olds in Hasting, East Sussex. We focus on developing our pupils love of learning so they can ‘fly high’. In 2019 we were presented with the Marjorie Boxall Quality Mark Award for our outstanding nurturing environment and inclusive provision. Our creative curriculum engages pupils with personalised learning and practical experiences. We have two classes in each year group welcoming children from our local community. We also hosts a nursery for children aged from 3 years.
