Motor Vehicle Instructor job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and inspirational Teacher who can deliver Motor Vehicle Skills to our students to give them the opportunity for a brighter future.
We are looking for a teacher who is innovative in their approach to achieving the desired results for our students, someone who can empower young people to see the importance of qualifications as a foundation to a successful journey in life.
We are looking for someone who:
Shares our vision of “Learning together in pursuit of happiness” and applies that to all they do in their work.
Has an interest or experience in teaching a Mechanics Vocational Course at Level 1 and 2
Has passion/enthusiasm for the subject and can bring this to life through teaching.
Has a particular interest in teaching students who have been excluded or are at risk of exclusion from main stream education.
Is qualified to a Level 3 Mechanics or hold a PCGE/Cert Ed and has three years industrial experience in the motor vehicle industry.
Can coach and support students in all aspects of mechanics skills.
Can supervise, train and assess students in all workshop areas.
Is a highly motivated and flexible individual who can form positive relationships with students with a wide range of special needs, including behavioural, in order to make a difference for some of the most vulnerable adolescents across Poole.
Ideally has previous experience of working with students with behavioural difficulties is desirable.
A flexible approach, coupled with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
