Hasmonean Multi-Academy Trust is seeking to appoint an ambitious, compassionate and inspirational Non-Teaching Assistant Year Leader to join its successful Girls' School pastoral team. Your new role
As Non-Teaching Assistant Year Leader, you will support the Year Leader in the day-to-day management of a year group, helping to ensure that every student is able to make progress, develop as a young person and fully engage in school life.
This is a varied and rewarding pastoral role that combines student support, data analysis, attendance monitoring, behaviour management and parental engagement. You will work closely with Year Leaders, teaching staff, parents and external agencies to provide effective support for students and help maintain high standards across the year group.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the monitoring and tracking of student progress, attainment and achievement using management information systems and performance data.
- Assisting with the analysis of academic performance data and helping to produce reports for school leaders and stakeholders.
- Supporting attendance monitoring and helping to maintain accurate student records.
- Promoting positive behaviour and supporting students to maximise their learning opportunities.
- Investigating behaviour and bullying concerns and referring significant matters to the Year Leader where appropriate.
- Building strong relationships with students, parents, staff and external agencies to support student development and wellbeing.
- Mentoring individual students and helping to coordinate additional support where required.
- Supporting student induction programmes, parents' evenings, assemblies and other year group activities.
- Celebrating student achievements and encouraging students to reach their full potential.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young people, building positive relationships and making a tangible difference to students' educational journeys.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will be an organised, proactive and approachable professional with excellent interpersonal skills and a genuine commitment to supporting young people. You will be confident communicating with a range of stakeholders and able to remain calm and effective when dealing with sensitive or challenging situations.
