Non-Violent Resistance (NVR) Practitioner job summary

PolyMAT is a small and ambitious MAT with a unique family feel that is seeking a Non-Violent Resistance (NVR) Practitioner. Our vision is ‘Success for Everyone’ and the successful candidate will help deliver this for our schools. We currently have three schools in our Trust: Woolwich Polytechnic School for Boys, a long-successful boys’ school, Woolwich Polytechnic School for Girls that opened in 2019, and Bannockburn Primary School, a large successful primary that joined the Trust on 1st November 2023. We also have our flourishing Sixth Form provision which is co-educational.

Woolwich Polytechnic School for Girls is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Non-Violent Resistance (NVR) Practitioner to join their team and deliver impactful support to families within their school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver and review weekly NVR sessions to the needs of parents and carers.
  • Provide training and support to help families implement the NVR approach effectively.
  • Design and facilitate termly workshops that respond to the evolving needs of parent groups.
  • Build skills in parents and carers to foster healthy, respectful relationships with their children.
  • Work flexibly to support families through challenging times with empathy and professionalism.
  • Maintain clear communication with the school and report any safeguarding concerns appropriately.
  • Uphold confidentiality and contribute to the school’s commitment to excellence in teaching and learning.
  • Embrace and promote the Trust’s core values of Leadership, Excellence and Resilience.
