Are you passionate about early years education? Join our vibrant nursery and preschool team at Bournville Primary School in Weston-super-Mare, where we deliver exceptional learning experiences for our youngest children.
We’re looking for a caring, energetic nursery assistant who’s ready to make a real difference in children’s lives. You’ll work alongside a skilled and supportive team within our high-quality Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) provision.
Hours: 22 hours per week, including 22 INSET hours per academic year (term time only)
Salary: £13,318.86 per year
Permanent contract

What you’ll do
• Support high-quality teaching and learning across the EYFS curriculum
• Help plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities
• Create nurturing, stimulating environments where children feel safe and inspired
• Work closely with families, staff, and the wider school community
• Promote the values of our school and multi-academy trust
What we’re looking for
• A positive, flexible team player
• Creative, enthusiastic, and motivational in your approach
• Calm, consistent, and supportive with a nurturing nature
• Passionate about helping children grow and thrive
• Experience with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) is desirable
• Knowledge of speech and language development and Makaton is a plus
• Proactive, energetic, and committed to meaningful learning
• Patient, sensitive, and confident in comforting children
• Strong understanding of safeguarding and inclusive practice
