Are you passionate about helping young children learn, grow and thrive? Greenfield Academy is seeking a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Nursery Learning Support Assistant to join our Early Years team.

You will support pupils in nursery, helping to create a safe, nurturing and engaging environment where every child can develop confidence, curiosity and a love of learning. Working closely with teachers and colleagues, you will encourage children's social, emotional and educational development through play-based learning and positive relationships.

We are looking for someone who is patient, proactive and committed to giving every child the very best start in their educational journey.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support children’s learning, development and wellbeing within the nursery environment.
  • Assist in delivering engaging play-based activities that promote early learning and development.
  • Work closely with teachers and Early Years staff to meet individual pupil needs.
  • Encourage positive behaviour, social skills and independence.
  • Support children with personal care, hygiene and welfare needs where required.

Pay range: NJ5-7 - £19,764.26 - £20,397.76 - FTE: £25,583.00 - £26,403.00 - 32.5 hours per week, 37 weeks per year - fixed term - 31.08.2027

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Good literacy, numeracy, and ICT skills.
  • Experience of working with young children in an educational or childcare setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
  • Good understanding of safeguarding, child development and inclusive practice.
