What skills and experience we're looking for

To be considered for this position, you will need to:

Hold a relevant qualification such as NVQ level 2/3 in Early Years childcare, or equivalent

Have experience of working within a nursery setting

Have a positive, hardworking and "can do" attitude

Have sound experience of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS); and are able to contribute to planning, observations and reports

Possess a high level of written and spoken English

Provide the children with a safe, secure environment

Operate a key-person system and liaise with parents/carers and senior staff

Contribute to planning, observations and reports

In addition, you will need to be flexible and creative, with the commitment to provide first class childcare and have lots of fun!

We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative Early Years Practitioner / Nursery Nurse to work as part of our brand-new nursery team.

Our new Teacher led Nursery opened in September 2024 - accepting children from the age of 2 years. We have creative a beautiful inspiring space and have access to fantastic primary school facilities which includes a forest school and vibrant school garden.

St John’s Church of England Primary School is seeking to appoint a dynamic and innovative Deputy Head Teacher. This is a great opportunity to join an ambitious, committed and vibrant leadership team.

The ideal candidate will be someone currently in the deputy role looking for new challenge, or a highly skilled, exemplary teacher with experience at senior management level.

As a key member of our Leadership team you would be involved in managing the school on a day to day basis and be expected to take the lead in key aspects of strategic school development and the raising of standards. The successful candidate should be prepared to lead on such areas as curriculum development, monitoring of standards and teacher effectiveness, tracking and analysis of results/data, behaviour management, external relations and community links, staff development, training and induction.
