What skills and experience we're looking for

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate that they:

  • Are an excellent early years classroom practitioner, committed to child centred learning and inclusive practice and have high expectations of children’s behaviour.
  • Can confidently lead a large team of support staff and work closely with other members of the team to establish the highest standards of achievement, within a learning environment which reflects current excellent practice for very young children.
  • Can plan and implement appropriate learning experiences, in line with the school curriculum, being sensitive towards children’s individual learning needs and styles.
  • Have excellent communication skills and can enable each member of staff in their team to have a voice and contribute fully.
  • Can foster excellent working relationships with parents, carers and other professionals.

Although initially based at Featherstone, this post will require a willingness to work at either of our federation schools if the need arises.
