What skills and experience we're looking for

Connect Academy Trust is looking to appoint a passionate and dedicated teacher to lead a small nurture classroom of up to 10pupils with learning difficulties and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs from September 2025. You’ll play a vitalrole in creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment, delivering a bespoke curriculum with thoughtful adaptations toensure every child can progress and thrive.

About the Role:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs in line with our curriculum.
  • Foster a nurturing and structured classroom environment that supports emotional and social development
  • Implement positive behaviour strategies to help pupils thrive
  • Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and external agencies
  • Build strong, supportive relationships with pupils, ensuring they feel valued and safe
  • Track and assess progress, adapting teaching to meet evolving needs
  • Form positive relationships with parents/ carers and provide regular opportunities for reviews
