The Role

Queen Katharine Academy are looking to appoint an inspiring and passionate Nurture Teacher who will work within our specialist Forward Pathway provision at the academy. The successful applicant will have high ambitions and a positive approach to developing a nurture based and personalised curriculum, dependant on the needs of individual learners, many of whom have significant difficulties with cognition and learning. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled and experienced with a clear understanding of nurturing principles and how they are applied to develop outstanding practices and outcomes for young people.

This is exciting opportunity is possibly suitable for a primary teacher who is ambitious and has an interest in working with students in KS3.

The department has a strong nurture ethos and also supports some of our students who have a SEND or SEMH need. 

The Person 

You will: 

Hold Qualified Teacher Status

Be able to model outstanding practice in literacy, both within the department and across the wider curriculum. 

Be able to prepare and deliver lessons to a range of classes of different ages and abilities. 

Be enthusiastic about helping young people to succeed. 

Have the ability to form strong professional relationships with young people. 

Have high expectations for the behaviour and academic progress of young people. 

Be ambitious and have the energy and creativity to make a significant contribution to the whole academy.
