Nurture Teacher job summary

This is a unique and rewarding role combining classroom teaching, nurture provision, and outreach work, offering the chance to influence not only our pupils but also practice across our wider community.

About the Role

You will:

  • Lead a small, supportive nurture environment for pupils with SEMH needs
  • Deliver personalised, engaging learning experiences
  • Support children’s emotional development alongside academic progress
  • Work closely with our existing onsite team and outreach provision, supporting children and their families
  • Be part of a highly skilled, compassionate, and collaborative team

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  • Is a qualified teacher with a passion for SEMH and inclusion
  • Holds the recognised nurture qualification and has experience of leading nurture groups
  • Understands trauma-informed and nurture-based approaches
  • Builds strong, trusting relationships with children and families
  • Is calm, flexible, and solution-focused
  • Can work effectively across both school and outreach settings

The successful applicants will receive bespoke training (depending on experience) to develop knowledge, skill sets, understanding and effectiveness. This ensures that we offer the best educational and pastoral support for our primary age students.
