Office Administrator job summary
We are seeking a highly professional and enthusiastic Office Administrator to join our welcoming and ambitious primary school. As the first point of contact for parents, pupils and visitors, you will play a vital role in ensuring our school runs smoothly and continues to provide an exceptional experience for our community.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a small but growing school where every member of staff makes a meaningful contribution. We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a busy environment, has excellent communication skills and can provide outstanding administrative support to our staff, pupils and families. The successful candidate will:- Be the first point of contact for visitors, parents, email and telephone enquiries.
- Provide administrative support to the school team.
- Manage correspondence, emails and school communications.
- Maintain accurate pupil and staff records using the school's management information system.
- Support admissions processes and pupil transfers.
- Assist with attendance monitoring and data entry.
- Support the organisation of school events, trips and meetings.
- Help manage school website updates and communications where required.
- Ensure confidential information is handled professionally and securely.
- Contribute to a positive, welcoming and professional office environment.
- Has excellent organisational and administrative skills.
- Is friendly, approachable and professional.
- Can communicate effectively with children, parents, staff and external agencies.
- Can prioritise competing demands and remain calm under pressure.
- Has strong IT skills and confidence using Microsoft Office applications.
- Demonstrates accuracy and attention to detail.
- Values teamwork and enjoys contributing to a strong school community.
- Understands the importance of confidentiality and safeguarding.
Experience of working in a school office and familiarity with school systems such as Arbor would be advantageous but is not essential.

Sires Hill Primary Academy opened its doors for the very first time in September 2023, and welcomed our new 2 year olds into the school in September 2024. The school will eventually become a two form entry primary school with a nursery with children aged 2-11.
Sires Hill Primary Academy works in partnership with Didcot Primary Academy, following the same curriculum and benefitting from the expertise of an established primary school.
