Office Administrator job summary

St John Rigby Catholic Primary School is a happy, successful primary school which is part of the Our Lady Immaculate Catholic Academy Trust. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced Office Administrator who is able support the smooth running of the school office and effective management of the school's administrative systems, providing high-quality administrative support to the Headteacher and staff.

The successful candidate will:

  • Act as the first point of contact for parents, visitors and other stakeholders, providing a professional and welcoming reception service.
  • Monitor the school email inbox during working hours and respond to or forward correspondence as appropriate.
  • Monitor and record pupil absences, recording daily school meal numbers and communicate accurate figures to the kitchen team.
  • Contact parents/carers to follow up on unexplained pupil absences in line with school attendance procedures.
  • Support the management of booking systems for parents' evening and other events
  • Support the administration and maintenance of our pupil database and MIS Systems, including BROMCOM
  • Support with the maintenance of the school's website, weekly bulletins, school calendar, newsletters and other marketing materials
  • Undertake additional administrative duties as required to support effective operations of the school office.
