What skills and experience we're looking for

The Roseland Multi-Academy Trust serves communities across Cornwall, currently with five schools in Falmouth, Newquay and the Roseland Peninsula. Our schools work collaboratively, sharing a commitment to providing outstanding education for our communities, where everyone succeeds. Our values of Kindness, Responsibility and Ambition underpin everything we do. Our Central Team works closely with our schools, providing support and expertise to help them operate effectively and create the best possible environment for children, young people and the workforce.

Are you confident with IT and digital systems, highly organised and someone who takes pride in getting the details right? Do you enjoy solving problems, working with different people and finding better ways of doing things?

We are looking for a proactive and organised Operations Coordinator to join our Central Team, supporting the Operations Manager, CFO and site teams across our schools.

This is a varied role involving systems, data and processes, helping to keep our Trust running safely and efficiently. You will maintain accurate records, coordinate operational activities and monitor compliance requirements, as well as support colleagues in making effective use of digital systems.

An important part of the role will be becoming the Trust's super user for our new compliance software, helping colleagues use the system effectively and ensuring information and actions are kept up to date. You will also support maintenance, contractor coordination, procurement, Health & Safety administration and operational reporting.

You will be confident using IT and digital systems, highly organised and able to manage competing priorities. You will enjoy solving problems, using your initiative and finding practical ways to improve processes. Good communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships are essential, as you will work with colleagues across our schools and Central Team. Previous experience in a school or similar environment, or familiarity with compliance systems and Health & Safety administration, would be an advantage. However, we are particularly interested in someone with strong IT skills, a willingness to learn and a proactive approach.

What the school offers its staff

You will be joining a supportive Central Team where collaboration, initiative and a positive approach are valued. If you enjoy making systems work better, keeping things organised and helping an organisation run safely and efficiently, we would welcome your application.

This is a term-time-only position, with the successful postholder benefiting from the majority of school holidays, although there will be a requirement to work an additional 10 days during the school holidays. The Trust recognises the importance of staff wellbeing and has supportive policies and procedures in place, as well as collaboration opportunities across our settings. There is the option of occasional homeworking after the first four months in post. Our school settings have free parking facilities and, where there is a requirement to travel to different schools, mileage is paid.

Commitment to safeguarding

The Roseland Multi Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, and expects all staff to share this commitment. Everyone who comes into contact with children and their families and carers has a role to play in safeguarding children. In order to fulfil this responsibility effectively, all professionals should make sure their approach is child-centred. This means that they should consider, at all times, what is in the best interests of the child.
