What skills and experience we're looking for

Kingswood Primary School, Surrey is looking to appoint a highly organised, enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to take on the role of Operations Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing, leading and developing the administrative and operational aspects of the school, and will work as an integral member of our Senior Leadership Team, supporting the Headteacher and wider Greensand Multi Academy Trust with setting and delivering the schools strategic objectives.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • an unwavering determination to deliver excellent operational leadership and management across the school;
  • experience of managing facilities, health and safety, and compliance, together with in-depth knowledge of risk, issues, and legislation in relation to education;
  • knowledge of financial reporting and reconciliation to support with the schools financial planning;
  • knowledge of HR management and safer recruitment practices; and
  • experience of working in a busy school or office environment.

In addition, you will:

  • be forward thinking, creative, receptive to change and able to work as part of a multi-disciplined team;
  • manage your time effectively and able to work towards deadlines;
  • be well organised, methodical and ability to remain calm under pressure;
  • have a positive and flexible approach while managing a diverse and demanding workload; and
  • be kind, caring and be able to forge positive relationships with our school community, including colleagues, children, parents and neighbours.

This is a part time term time role working 28 hours per week over 42 weeks per annum. The full time equivalent annual salary is £32,512 to £34,654 and the pro rata annual salary is £22,312 to £23,782.
