Pear Tree Community Junior School is seeking a skilled and organised Operations Manager to play a key role in the effective day-to-day running of our school. This is a pivotal position, supporting school leadership across finance, HR, site management, health and safety, and administrative operations.
This role would suit a calm, capable professional with strong organisational skills who enjoys working in a busy school environment and contributing to positive outcomes for children and staff.

The Role
As Operations Manager, you will provide professional operational leadership and ensure systems and processes run smoothly to support teaching and learning. Key areas of responsibility include:
- Finance – supporting budget management, monitoring expenditure and ensuring value for money
- HR and Payroll – overseeing recruitment processes, HR administration and payroll accuracy
- Site Management and Health & Safety – ensuring the school site is safe, well-maintained and compliant
- Data and Administration – providing accurate information and reports to support strategic decision-making
The Person We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who is:
- Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Confident in leading people, systems and processes
- Experienced in finance, HR and/or school operations
- Professional, reliable and solution-focused
- Values-driven and committed to supporting children and staff in line with our Trust, Care and Grow values
Experience of working in a school setting is desirable but not essential.
