Washington Academy is seeking an experienced, highly organised and proactive Operations Manager to join our Senior Leadership Team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in the strategic and operational leadership of our thriving academy, ensuring our students and staff benefit from a safe, efficient and well-managed learning environment.

About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Operations, and working closely with the Principal, you will lead the academy's operational services, ensuring excellence across:
- Estates, facilities and site management
- Health and Safety compliance
- Administration and business support services
- Finance and procurement
- Human Resources
- Catering and transport
- IT service coordination
- Marketing and communications
- Risk management and statutory compliance
As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will contribute strategically to whole-school improvement while leading support staff and working collaboratively with Trust-wide specialist teams to deliver outstanding operational services.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has significant operational or business management experience, ideally within education or a similarly complex organisation.
- Is an inspiring leader with excellent people management skills.
- Has strong knowledge of Health & Safety, compliance and facilities management.
- Can manage multiple priorities whilst maintaining high standards and attention to detail.
- Is financially astute with experience of budgets, procurement and contract management.
- Has excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
