Advert Details:

The Governors are looking for an enthusiastic person to complement our hard working and friendly team at Boroughbridge Primary school and Nursery.

The successful candidate will:

• Be passionate about caring for children and young people.
• Meet the qualification requirements to be included in the staff:child ratios at level 3:
• hold a qualification that is recognised by the Department for Education as full and relevant at the appropriate level(see DFE Qualification Checker
• be a student or apprentice working at the level below the level of study
• have successfully completed the experience-based route.
• Have experience of working with children
• Have knowledge of matters relating to safeguarding of children.
• Have the ability to display positive social skills and encourage good behaviour in pupils.
• Have the ability to establish constructive working relationships with pupils, parents / carers and colleagues.
• Have adequate verbal and written communication skills appropriate to the need to communicate effectively with pupils, parents / carers and colleagues.

The role will include:

• Interact with pupils in ways that support the development of their ability to think and learn, including the use of careful questioning.
• Communicate effectively with all pupils, families, carers and other agencies.
• Helping support children with their personal, social and emotional development needs.
• Encouraging inclusive and positive play.
• Be able to assist class teachers in the implementation of appropriate behaviour management and teaching and learning strategies.

Out of Hours School Club Assistant:

The core focus of this job is to ensure the provision of high quality out of hours school provision for children, within a positive, safe and happy environment. You will do this by organising and providing an appropriate range of activities and food.

Vacancy Hours:

• 15:15-18:00 Monday (2 hour 45 mins)
• 15:15-18:00 Tuesday (2 hour 45 mins
• 15:15-18:00 Wednesday (2 hour 45 mins)
• 15:15-17:00 Thursday (2 hour 45 mins)
• 15:15-18:00 Friday (2 hours 45 mins)
• 13 hours 45 mins per week
• (There may be flexibility for more hours)

Contract Type:Established, Term Time Only

Salary Range:Grade CD (SCP 3)

• Annual Equivalent: £24 796
• Actual Annual Pro-Rata: £7 988.22
• Actual Monthly: £665.68
• Hourly Rate: £12.85
• A range of benefits including pension.
