Join Our Founding Team at Great Haddon Primary School
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the founding team of Great Haddon Primary School, a brand-new primary school which opened in September 2026. We are currently located at Hampton College Primary Phased until we move into our new building in spring 2027. As we establish a vibrant and successful school, we are seeking an exceptional PA to the Head of School & Administration Manager to play a key role in the school's development and ongoing success.
This is a unique opportunity to help shape systems, processes and culture from the very beginning. Working closely with the Head of School, you will be at the heart of school operations, ensuring high-quality administrative support, building and leading the administration team, and helping create an outstanding experience for pupils, families and staff.
About the Role
As PA to the Head of School and Administration Manager you will:
- Provide high-level administrative, organisational and secretarial support to the Head of School and in time the Senior Leadership Team.
- Lead and manage the school's administration team and day-to-day office operations.
- Support school communications, publications, marketing and social media presence.
- Develop efficient systems and processes that support the growth of a new school.
- Organise and oversee key school events, visits and meetings.
A unique opportunity to grow with the school
As Great Haddon Primary School opens and develops, this position will initially cover a wide range of responsibilities. We recognise that the job description reflects the needs of a growing school, and over time we expect to expand the support team and create additional specialist roles, including support for areas such as data, admissions and attendance. The successful candidate will therefore have the opportunity to influence how administrative systems are developed while being part of an exciting period of growth.
About You
We are looking for a highly organised and proactive professional who:
- Has excellent administrative and organisational skills.
- Has experience of working at a senior administrative level and leading a team.
- Demonstrates exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Is able to work independently, use initiative and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Has strong ICT skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and database systems.
- Understands the importance of confidentiality, professionalism and safeguarding.
- Enjoys building positive relationships with pupils, families, staff and the wider community.
- Whilst experience in a school environment would be advantageous, we welcome applications from candidates with strong leadership and administration experience from other sectors.
Hampton Academies Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be required to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
In line with Keeping Children Safe in Education, the school may consider carrying out an online search on shortlisted candidates as part of our safeguarding due diligence. Where undertaken, this will be limited to information relevant to safeguarding or suitability to work with children and conducted in accordance with UK GDPR.
