PA to the Principal / Clerk to Governors job summary

Responsible to: Principal

Grade: G

Hours per week: 37 hours Mon-Fri., term time plus 2 weeks

Contract Term: Permanent,

Purpose of role: To provide administrative support to the Principal for the smooth running of the Academy. To support the work of the Senior Leadership Team and Local Governing Board.

Duties and Responsibilities:

To satisfy the roles and responsibilities set out in the job description and any additional tasks reasonably requested by the Principal.

The Opportunity:

  • provide strong organisational and administrative support to the Principal,
  • work closely with the Local Governing Board and Senior Leadership Team ,
  • lead on internal and external communication strategies and campaigns.

The ideal candidate will:

  • have a good educational background, including GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths,
  • be an excellent administrator, confident in writing and drafting communications and publications,
  • possess outstanding communication skills and personal integrity,
  • be able to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism,
  • be a team player, with a ‘can do’, solution focused, attitude.
