Part Time Evening Cleaner job summary

Duties will include cleaning classrooms, offices, corridors, toilets and communal areas - vacuuming, mopping, dusting, wiping, emptying bins and replenishing supplies. Our floor coverings are a mixture of carpets and vinyl floors, you need to be able to operate the equipment needed to maintain the floors to a high standard.

You need to be able to work well as part of a team, but manage your own time well.

Cleaning experince is essential, and we would prefer it if you have had experience working in a school.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be able to work in different parts of the school, taking pride in the area that has been assigned;
  • Be able to follow rules and instructions relating to Health and Safety;
  • Be able to operate electrical equipment, e.g. vacuum cleaner, floor cleaner;
  • Be able to report problems or defects to the Site Manager;
  • Have some experience as a cleaner and be prepared to undertake training;
  • Be able to support the Catholic ethos of the school.

The candidate will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check and must be eligible to work in the UK.
