What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and experienced classroom teacher for our Reception class. This post is 0.6 (3 days a week - Monday - Wednesday). PPA will be paid on top.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about learning and teaching, who understands the importance of educating the whole child. At Kingsmead, we aim to achieve high standards in core subjects within a broad, balanced and enriched curriculum. We are particularly keen to appoint someone with experience of working in EYFS who understands the importance of providing children with a strong foundation for their future learning and development.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate their capacity to deliver good and better outcomes for all the children in their care, demonstrating a clear understanding of how adjustments will be needed for those pupils with additional barriers to their learning. They will have a good understanding of child development and be able to create engaging, purposeful learning experiences that build on children's interests, develop independence and foster a love of learning from the very beginning of their school journey.
