What skills and experience we're looking for

The Governors of Waterthorpe Nursery Infant School wish to appoint a dynamic, experienced, enthusiastic and inspirational Nursery teacher to join our team from March 2026.

Waterthorpe Nursery Infant is a warm, friendly and welcoming school in the southeast of Sheffield. Our motto is ‘Inspiring young minds, creating learners for Life’. We provide an enjoyable curriculum that meets the needs of our children and helps them achieve their full potential. We are committed to providing an environment in which our pupils are happy and secure so that they may grow socially, emotionally, intellectually, creatively and physically. Waterthorpe is at the heart of a supportive local community and our families are fully involved in their children’s education and the life of the school. In March 2019, Ofsted graded our school ‘Good’.

. The successful candidate will:

• Be an excellent, experienced early Years teacher
• Have good knowledge and experience of the EYFS curriculum
• Have high expectations and a commitment to securing outstanding progress for all learners
• Have excellent interpersonal skills which motivate and inspire children to achieve their very best
• Have effective communication skills and the ability to work in partnership with all members of the school community
• Be enthusiastic with a sense of humour
• Have a commitment to providing rich and challenging learning experiences across the curriculum for all children

The candidate will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check and must be eligible to work in the UK.
