Part-time Reception Teacher (Afternoons only) job summary

Fixed Term September 2026 to July 2027 - Starting September 2026

A unique one-off opportunity to join our team has arisen. We are seeking an enthusiastic, inspirational Part-Time (Afternoons only) Reception Teacher for the fixed term September 2026 to July 2027. We are a two-form Catholic Primary school and part of the Diocese of Westminster Academy Trust. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the learning experiences of our youngest children, ensuring every child has the best possible start to their educational journey. The school has recently updated their outdoor early years space and this is now an exciting and stimulating learning area.

You are required to have QTS and relevant EYFS experience.

The Role

The successful applicant will join as an Early Years Teacher in our strong and dynamic team.

You’ll be required to:

  • Deliver high quality teaching and learning in your own class. Meeting the Expectations set out in the Teacher’s Standards
  • Ensure that all statutory requirements of the EYFS frameworkare met consistently
  • Use assessment and data effectively to track progress and plan next steps
  • Work closely with parents, carers, and external agencies to support every child’s development
  • Foster a nurturing, inclusive and stimulating environment where children thrive
  • To ensure smooth transitions between phases
  • Fulfil duties reasonably directed by the Headteacher
